Le Mans - MotoGP Results France welcomed by Cal Crutchlow. This time in the race, Crutchlow get the best results of his career in MotoGP.
Crutchlow started the race in Le Mans Circuit on Sunday (19/05/2013) night local time, on the fourth position. Had dropped after the start, Yamaha Tech 3 rider was slowly able to improve his position.
Crutchlow was able to pass two factory team rider, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. He then went on overtaking maneuver with Andrea Dovizioso for second place.
The second position was successfully defended by Crutchlow to finish. This is the first time Crutchlow on the podium this season.
In his third season in MotoGP, this is the highest finishing position achieved Crutchlow. Previously, 27-year-old rider finished third in the Czech MotoGP and MotoGP Australia last year.
"I'm very, very happy," I Crutchlow was quoted by Autosport.
"It's nice to be here. We did a good job, I think we deserve this podium," he continued.
Crutchlow actually raced in conditions not 100 percent. Shins developing cracks due to an accident in a training session on Saturday. However, Crutchlow grateful for the race took place in wet conditions.
"Of course after a major accident would be difficult to race in dry conditions. Sure I could get in the top five, but to think that a podium will be very difficult," he said.
