Ducati Confident Look 2013 Season

2012 racing season is a bad season for Ducati. They only managed to climb the podium twice by Valentino Rossi. While Nicky Hayden is not even on the podium throughout the season.

When the 2013 season started preparations earlier this month in Sepang, Ducati has yet to demonstrate improved performance. Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso could only finish in the top nine and ten in the fastest time achieved by the rider.

Even so, Project Director Paolo Ciabatti Ducati remains confident that the Desmosedici would be able to compete for the top three for the 2013 season.

"My opinion has not changed, and we believe to be realistic, we will be able to compete for the podium before the season is over," he told MCN.

Ciabatti added that they would be a great chance on the podium at the second half of the season.

"We do not hide any of the riders. We do not tell them that we have a vehicle that is completely new. We know it is not easy."

According to him, Ducati should further develop the chassis, engine response to the pull of the gas, and ride comfort for better rider.

"Change does not happen overnight but we want to see significant progress soon," he said.

Call Rossi like David Copperfield, Biaggi Intends Praise

A comment from the former rival Max Biaggi, Valentino Rossi, rated as satire and scorn. Want to straighten, Biaggi has claimed it intends to praise Rossi.

Rossi and Biaggi had become fierce rivals in the final period 500 cc Grand Prix until later into the early era of MotoGP. Both Italiano it was touted not have a good relationship outside the track.

So when Biaggi equate Rossi as famous magician David Copperfield, when discussing Rossi's move from Yamaha to Ducati in the 2013 season, the commentary was also assessed as a form of mockery.

"Valentino Rossi like Copperfield? After two bad seasons (Ducati) he was able to get a world title-winning bike," said Biaggi at the time, as quoted by Crash.

As is known, Biaggi was close friend of Jorge Lorenzo, the Yamaha rider who became world champion last season and will again be a partner in the 2013 season Rossi - Rossi and Lorenzo before he became partner in Yamaha period 2008-2010. Then increasingly stronger presumption that Biaggi wanted pout Rossi.

However, Biaggi insists he did not mean it like that. According to the man who is now a World Superbike commentator on Italian television, he even wanted to commend Rossi.

"Saying Rossi as Copperfield meant as a compliment.'s Just a magician seems to be recovering well after undergoing a difficult two seasons," Biaggi wrote in his Twitter account, @ maxbiaggi.

"It could come back to the world championships with Yamaha with Lorenzo is not easy. I say good luck to them both," said Biaggi,

Waiting for results of 'Changed' Rossi

After two seasons of "sink", Valentino Rossi will now try to show off again. Would not be easy because he claimed must re-adaptation, especially in the style of driving.

Two seasons at Ducati is really not impressive prior to Rossi. Now he is back to Yamaha and admitted quite optimistic with the test results so far although there are still big questions about its ability to compete with Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa in the 2013 season.

"After two bad seasons I'm pretty sure that I have not forgotten how to drive a motorcycle. Two seasons but in the drive way is so changed, especially in the aspects of electronics and tires," said Rossi in the Crash.

"How to drive a top racer - (Casey) Stoner, Pedrosa and Lorenzo - very different to 2008 and 2009 (when the last time Rossi won his world title.) So I had a lot of change and I do not know what I'm capable of."

"But after the first test, I feel very confident because the M1 if I try to modify something, it worked - with my riding style. Unfortunately, in the last two years, not so," he said.

Talking further with period-era at Ducati, Rossi was reluctant to accuse anyone although so far only in the team he finished the season without a win.

"I did not go to the Ducati because I'm sure the problem is not there in my bike. That is the main reason."

"I've won every challenge in my career except with Ducati. Regardless, if I continue with Yamaha (in 2011) then I will feel more tired now."

"After the last two seasons, I feel younger and more motivated," said 34-year-old rider.
