Mugello - rate and record the time Jorge Lorenzo in the Italian MotoGP qualifying actually fairly sip. That's why he was quite surprised when Dani Pedrosa finally defeated.
The Yamaha rider immediately start the qualifying session on Saturday (01/06/2013) night local time, with shiny after packing time of 1 minute 47.6 seconds in the first round.
The time was then Lorenzo sharpen twice. But it apparently was not enough. Pedrosa the race for the Repsol Honda on record as the fastest process, and is entitled to the pole position.
"I really did not expect when making (one minute) 47.6 (seconds) on the first lap," he said in Crash.
"I did not expect to go as fast as it is, but I also do not think Dani could be so fast in the last lap. Would suspect I was still able to pole. But sometimes it's like that," said Lorenzo
Over the last two seasons Lorenzo managed to perform so winning at Mugello. Given the current pace of Pedrosa, Lorenzo knows will not be easy for him to be able to complete the "hat-trick" on the track.
"The important thing is to make a good start tomorrow (Sunday), bolted to the front and then stay away if you can. If that is not possible, the race runs long and we have to be consistent."
"We must improve the small details, but in general the bike is better here than in other trajectories."
"We are still a little less okay when the weather is a bit hot, we do not have the same grip. Yet even with that problem, we still remain competitive, in free practice and in qualifying," he said.
